Misconception #3: Just Do What Makes You Happy
In pursuit of fulfillment and self-care, we hear this passed around quite a bit. It's a nudge to prioritize activities and choices that bring joy - to make time for things you truly enjoy.
How could this be a misconception?
Finding happiness isn't bad; idolizing its pursuit is, though. We find a greater perspective in the scripture. True fulfillment can come from living a purpose-driven life that considers the well-being of others and strives to follow God's will.
