SPEND 12 DAYS STUDYING THE NAMES OF GOD AND GET TO KNOW WHO GOD IS AND WHAT HE DOES. LEAN IN. LEARN HIS NAMES AND LOVE HIM MORE!

Day 1: Elohim – The Powerful Creator
Elohim is the very first name for God we encounter in Scripture. It speaks of His majesty, might, and creativity. He spoke and everything came into being—light, sky, oceans, stars, and humanity. Unlike other names, “Elohim” emphasizes His power to bring something out of nothing. When life feels chaotic or uncertain, remember that the same God who shaped the world can shape your life. He’s not distant—He is near, still creating, still working, still bringing order out of chaos.
Reflection: Where in your life do you need to trust God's creative power to bring purpose out of confusion?
Application: Start your day by naming three things God has created—both in the world and in your life—and thank Him as Elohim.

Day 2: El Roi – The God Who Sees Me
Hagar ran into the desert—unloved, unwanted, unseen. But God saw her. He spoke to her with compassion, and she named Him El Roi, “the God who sees me.” God still sees us in our wilderness—our sorrow, injustice, loneliness. You are not invisible. The One who sees all sees you with love.
Reflection: What comfort does it bring to know God sees every part of your life—even what others miss?
Application: Write or pray this phrase aloud: “El Roi, You see me, and You care.”

Application: Write or pray this phrase aloud: “El Roi, You see me, and You care.”

Day 3: Jehovah-Jireh - The Lord Will Provide
Abraham faced the unthinkable—sacrificing his son—but obeyed in faith. At the last moment, God provided a ram. Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh, “The Lord Will Provide.” God is still our provider. Not always in the ways we expect, but always in the ways we need. You can trust His provision, especially in the hardest seasons.
Reflection: Where do you need to release control and trust God to provide?
Application: Make a list of past ways God has provided—and thank Him for one current need you’re trusting Him with.

Day 4: Jehovah-Rapha - The God Who Heals
After bitter water and bitter attitudes, God brought healing to His people—and sweet water to sustain them. He revealed a new name: Jehovah-Rapha, “The Lord Who Heals.” God heals more than sickness—He heals bitterness, brokenness, grief, and sin. His healing may come over time or in a moment, but it always flows from His heart of mercy.
Reflection: What part of your life or heart needs healing today?
Application: Pray for healing over one situation today, believing Jehovah-Rapha is at work.

Day 5: Yahweh-Nissi - The Lord Is My Banner
As Israel battled Amalek, Moses raised his hands in prayer—and God gave victory. Moses then built an altar and called it Yahweh-Nissi, “The Lord is my Banner.” Banners signified identity and hope in battle. God is your banner—the One who goes before you, fights for you, and gives you a name and purpose.
Reflection: What battle are you fighting right now—and are you fighting in your strength or under God’s banner?
Application: Pray and surrender your battle to God. Visualize Him going before you.

Application: Pray and surrender your battle to God. Visualize Him going before you.

Day 6: Yahweh-Shalom - The Lord Is Peace
Gideon was anxious, hiding from his enemies when God called him a “mighty warrior.” In the middle of fear, God spoke peace. Gideon built an altar and called it Yahweh-Shalom, “The Lord is Peace.” Peace isn’t just a feeling—it’s a person. When God shows up, fear fades and courage rises.
Reflection: Where in your life do you need peace that only God can give?
Application: Repeat this prayer: “Yahweh-Shalom, bring Your peace to my mind, my relationships, and my circumstances.”

Application: Repeat this prayer: “Yahweh-Shalom, bring Your peace to my mind, my relationships, and my circumstances.”

Day 7: Yahweh-Raah - The Lord Is My Shepherd
Psalm 23 is one of the most beloved chapters in the Bible because it reveals God’s heart as Yahweh-Raah, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” A shepherd leads, provides, protects, and stays present. David wasn’t declaring a distant deity—he knew God personally guided him. In good seasons and dark valleys, Yahweh-Raah walks with His sheep. You are not wandering alone.
Reflection: Are you living like a sheep who trusts the Shepherd, or like one trying to lead yourself?
Application: Take a walk or find a quiet space and read Psalm 23 slowly, out loud. Let each verse remind you you’re not alone.

Day 8: Yahweh-Tsidkenu - The Lord Our Righteousness
In a time of national corruption, God promised a coming King—a righteous Branch from David’s line. He would be called Yahweh-Tsidkenu, “The Lord Our Righteousness.” Our best efforts can’t make us right with God—but He sent Jesus, who lived righteously and gave us His righteousness. We stand accepted not because we’re perfect, but because Christ is.
Reflection: Are you trying to earn God's favor or resting in His righteousness?
Application: Write down one way you're tempted to "prove" your worth to God. Release it in prayer and thank Him for covering you with Christ's righteousness.

Day 9: Yahweh-Tsidkenu - The Lord Our Righteousness
The last words of Ezekiel’s prophecy reveal the future name of Jerusalem: Yahweh-Shammah, “The Lord Is There.” After years of exile, brokenness, and silence, God promised His presence would return. That’s still His promise today—wherever you are, God is already there. You may feel isolated or unsure, but Yahweh-Shammah is not absent. His presence is your hope.
Reflection: Where do you need to remember that God is already there, even if you can’t see Him?
Application: Light a candle or sit still for a moment and say: “God, You are here. I am not alone.”

Application: Light a candle or sit still for a moment and say: “God, You are here. I am not alone.”

Day 10: Immanuel – God With Us
God’s answer to fear and chaos was not just a message—it was a person. Immanuel means “God with us.” In Jesus, God stepped into human skin. He didn’t stay distant; He came close. That name means everything. It means He understands, walks with us, weeps with us, and saves us. He is with us in joy, grief, transition, and uncertainty.
Reflection: What would change in your day if you truly believed God was with you—right now?
Application: Pray this sentence throughout your day: “Immanuel, thank You for being with me.”

Application: Pray this sentence throughout your day: “Immanuel, thank You for being with me.”

Day 11: Jesus - The Name Above All Names
Jesus—the name that brings salvation, hope, and power. Paul reminds us that Jesus humbled Himself completely, and because of that, He was exalted above every name. Every knee will bow at His name—not out of force, but in awe. When you call on Jesus, you are calling on the fullness of God. He is Savior, King, Friend, and Lord. There’s no name like His.
Reflection: What does the name “Jesus” mean to you today? In worship? In your need?
Application: Sing or listen to a worship song that exalts the name of Jesus. Let it remind you who He is.
Suggested Songs: What a Beautiful Name, Friend in Jesus

Day 12: Alpha and Omega - The Beginning and the End
God declares in Revelation, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” the beginning and the end. Nothing starts without Him, and nothing finishes beyond Him. He is writing your story, and He holds the end in His hands. In the final chapter of the Bible, we see the promise of a new heaven, a new earth, and no more pain. God will dwell with His people forever. He is not just the God of your past or present—He is Lord of what’s to come.
Reflection: What gives you peace about your future when you know God is both the beginning and the end?
Application: Write down one area of the future you're anxious about. Pray and commit it to the Alpha and Omega.
