Annual One-on-One

When you discover the power of spending time with your kids one-on-one, once a year won't be enough.  Doing something fun, sharing a meal, and connecting without distractions is what the one-on-one is all about.

Ideas for one-on-ones include:

  • Date with Mom or Dad
  • Breakfast Before School
  • Fishing and Hunting
  • Movie
  • Road Trips
  • Shopping
  • Sports

These one-on-ones are essential so that your kids know that you value them and love them.  It's essential for you to connect with them outside of the daily routine because the conversations that you have in these times will be vastly different than the talks you have in the rush of your daily grind.

One-on-ones give you the opportunity to encourage your kids with the growth that you see in them.  They also give you the opportunity to check-in on them and see if the need your input or advice on anything.   They also open the door for you to have conversations to prepare them for their next step.  If there is a change coming in their life - new school, new life-stage, new responsibility, new opportunity - use your one-on-one to coach them up for what comes next.

Here is what you will quickly discover when you spend time one-on-one with your kids.  You will love it, but your kids will love it even more.  They will look forward to and treasure these times with you.
